WOMEV is a non-profit, non-religious organization established in November 2019 in Buea, South West Region. Registered under Law No. 90/053, we are a civil society organization dedicated to equipping communities with the legal and constitutional tools necessary to protect our natural heritage.
Training target groups on environmental protection and management from basic levels.
Promoting good water and sanitation practices in schools and communities, including catchment cleaning.
Promoting sustainable farming and food transformation (Garri, Starch, and Mushroom production) to boost community income.
Providing Child Protection (CP) services and empowering women and girls against Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
Our work in the South West Region—from cleaning water catchments in the Sandpit community to empowering women in Mbalangi—is only possible through the support of partners and donors like you. When we clean our environment, we get clean air and water and this reduces respiratory illnesses. It supports healthy ecosystems by maintaining biodiversity and protects habitats for plants and animals.
